Role overview
You will architect and implement network connectivity across AWS environments, including hybrid integration, segmentation, and observability—ensuring performance, resilience, and security.
Education & level
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Networks, IT, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years in networking and/or cloud networking
- Comfort with routing, VPNs, and firewall concepts
- Experience troubleshooting complex connectivity issues
What success looks like
You deliver predictable connectivity and clean network designs that scale, with strong documentation and operational readiness.
- Well-structured VPC design and IP strategy
- Reliable site-to-site connectivity and routing
- Network telemetry and alerting for proactive ops
Key responsibilities
You will own cloud networking design and delivery:
- Design VPC architectures, subnetting, routing, and segmentation strategies
- Implement VPN/Direct Connect patterns and hybrid network integration
- Configure network security controls (NACLs, security groups, firewalls)
- Troubleshoot latency, packet loss, DNS, TLS, and routing anomalies
- Create network diagrams, IP plans, and operational runbooks
Required skills
Strong networking fundamentals are essential:
- TCP/IP, BGP, NAT, DNS, TLS, load balancing fundamentals
- AWS networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, VPC endpoints, Route 53)
- Network observability (flow logs, metrics, packet capture concepts)
- Infrastructure-as-code for networking components
- Stakeholder communication for incident and change management
Nice-to-have
Helpful additions:
- CCNA/CCNP or equivalent experience
- Experience with SD-WAN or enterprise firewalls
- Multi-account networking patterns
